Hello everyone,
Recently I have learned a lot about the relationships that I have with the people around me whether they be good friends, best friends or even people that I have only had a short conversation with. I have learned that the only person you can depend on for success in your life is yourself. To clarify what I mean by this I have decided to use an example of a very successful person who most of us all know.
Walt Disney
Walt Disney was a man who started a number of business that did not work out. He was told numerous times that “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas”. Despite people throwing these thoughts into his head he depended on himself to achieve his dreams and did not depend on the help and opinions of others. By relying on his own motivation and staying true to his goals today he makes billions of dollars in merchandise, movies and theme parks around the world. Thus showing all his haters that he did not need them to be successful. He kept true to his dreams.

What I am trying to get at here is that many people in this world are selfish. As sad as it sounds it is the truth and I am realizing that more and more as I get older. Some people are more selfish then others but the bottom line is that most people are selfish when it comes to success. People are only looking out for themselves and are jealous of other people for what they have, their looks and their abilities. If you depend on people like that for advice on how to achieve your dreams or even just in day to day activities you are going to be the one to end up at the bottom. The reason being is that they are never truly going to share their best opinion. They do not want you to be better then them so they are simply going to lead you in the wrong direction whether they realize it or not.

You must depend on yourself and stay true to what you think is best for you. The result will be that you will be your best self. I assure you that like Walt Disney you will get past the people that told you otherwise and succeed.
