Bathroom Organization Tips

I have recently renovated my bathroom and I was trying to think of all the ways that I could make it a more functional and organized space. I don’t know about everyone else but keeping my bathroom clean has never been an easy task for me as it is a space that I use everyday. While removing my bathroom I went to places like Walmart and Homesense to try to get some organization inspiration. I came up with some ideas on to how to better utilize your bathroom for a more organized lifestyle. All of these ideas are also at inexpensive price points as well!

  1. Bin on counter

We all have those products that we use everyday such as face wash and face cream. We all want to have these products at easy reach all the times because of how often they are used therefore we tend to leave them on the counter which creates a mess. A solution to this problem is to buy a container to leave on the counter. This container will allow you to have easy access to your products without having them all over the counter. You can also choose to hang the bin on your wall to save counter space.

2. Multiple compartment laundry bin

Another problem that people tend to have with their bathroom is were to put clothes that are not exactly clean enough to put back in your drawers but are not dirty enough to put to wash. A solution to this is to get a laundry pin with two compartments. One can hold dirty clothes and the other can hold clothes that can be worn again. This will save you from the mess of having clothes all around your bathroom that you don’t know what to do with or are too lazy to put away.

3. Towel Hanger

There is nothing that screams messy more then wet towels on the floor. Not only is it messy but it is also unsanitary. I suggest that you purchase a towel hanger to put on the back of your door. It will look a lot neater and more organized this way.

4. Shower caddie

One of the biggest life savers for me has been my shower caddie. In both showers and in bathtubs you have to put your shampoo, body bash and all of your other products on the floor or on the ledge. This placement looks messy and is not very convienent. Having a shower caddie will allow you to place all of your things in once place and have it at eye level.  A bonus is that they are very inexpensive!

5. Clear jars

A great way to organize small items such as hair ties and bobbie pins that seem to always get lost in your drawers is by using glass containers. You can either put them on your counter as a pretty accessory or tucked away in your cabinets. Having a clear glass jar will allow everything to be in one place and have everything be easily visible.

6. Hidden compartments

Inside your cabinet there are many ways that you can organize as well. The first way is to get a container that you can hang on the door to hold items such as hairbrushes and heating tools. You can also buy a lazy Susan, you can put all of your products and spin it around to find the items that you need. This will prevent the hassle of knocking everything over when trying to reach for something in the back.

7. Utilise wall space

If you have a relitevly small bathroom the best way to maximize it is to use wall space. Hang up some inexpensive shelves and put extra items such as towels and toilet paper. You can even decorate it with some decor to add a personal touch!
