Things To Do In The Fall

As it is the weekend of Thanksgiving I thought that it would be the perfect idea to write a blog post all about activities that you can do in the fall.  You can decide to use these ideas for a night out with friends or for a date night. The great thing about the fall is that even the simplest things are beautiful and fun to do such as going to a pumpkin patch or going for a drive through the country side. I encourage you to take the time out of your busy schedule not only for this weekend but throughout the entire fall season to get out and do these things with your friends, family, or with your date. Happy fall everyone and I hope you all enjoy!

1. Go to a pumpkin patch

You can not say it is officially fall unless you go to a pumpkin patch. This is a great idea to do with anyone because you can spend the day in the country side and pick a pumpkin. Most places on the weekends also have other activities to do while you are there such as corn mazes and hayrides.

2. Go apple picking

Apple picking is another thing that you have to do to say that it is officially fall. The best part about going apple picking is that you can spend time being together picking out the best apples to later make an apple pie. You can go on a hay ride and take cute photos among the orchards too.

3. Go for a drive through the country side

This is a very simple idea but it is equally as nice as all the rest. You and your family, friends, or date can plan a day to take the car and go for a drive through the country side. You will be able to see all of the beautiful leaves changing and can submerge yourselves into nature. Maybe you can even decide to stop somewhere and have a little picnic or maybe you will find a cute little town to walk around in too.

4. Have a photoshoot in the fall landscape

With the leaves changing into the beautiful colours of red and orange it is only appropriate to have a photoshoot outside. You can use your phone or if you have one a DSLR camera too. This is the perfect idea to do with your family, friends or date because you will have a good time walking around taking pictures and you will have memories captured for a lifetime.

5.Make a Pie

If you want to do something but do not want to leave your warm and cosy home, making an apple or pumpkin pie is a great idea. Simply search up a recipe on Pinterest or check out my apple pie recipe on my blog! You can get everyone involved in the baking process and you will have an amazing treat to enjoy afterwards.

6.Bonfire

When someone says bonfire people immediately think of summer but I believe that you can also have bonfires in the fall too. This is a good idea to do with a big group of people such as with family and friends. You can make it super festive by putting cosy blankets and pillows everywhere, making some pumpkin spice lattes for everyone and roasting some marshmallows.

7.Go to a haunted house/maze

This is a good idea to do as we get closer to Halloween.  You can do this for a date or with a group of friends. Just look online for haunted mazes or houses near you and I am sure that lots will pop up during this time of year. It will be so much fun to get scared with all or your friends or you date and to have something to laugh about later. It will sure get you in the Halloween spirit.

8.Go for a hike

Why not spend the day being active while doing a fall activity at the same time. The leaves will be changing which will create a beautiful landscape to see while hiking  and the weather will be just right. I think that this is a perfect idea for a date but you can for sure do it with family and friends as well.

9. Have a picnic outside

Again when someone says picnic people immediately think of summer but I think that you can have picnics in the fall too. You can pick a spot surrounded by the colourful leaves and put out a bic blanket to lie on. You can make it fall themed by having apple muffins or some pumpkin sugar cookies.

10. Have a Halloween movie marathon

With Halloween coming up it is a great idea to spend the day inside under a bunch of blankets with the fire on watching a bunch of your favourite Halloween movies. You can even choose to make a fort out of blankets and use your phone as a projector. Some of my favourite Halloween movies are classics such as Halloween Town, Twitches and Hocus Pocus.
