I find that whenever summer rolls around I am more conscious about my skin and really work to step up my skincare game. In the summer I barely wear any makeup, therefore, I want to have the best skin possible. Another reason skincare is important to me is because I believe having good skin is the key for flawless makeup application, as it provides a good base. My skincare routine has been a work in progress and it will continue to be throughout my life. With changing skin types, sun exposure and different seasons I am constantly changing my skincare routine and trying to find the products that work perfectly for me. I have recently splurged a little bit more on my skincare and have found some amazing products that I want to share with you all. By no means am I a professional when it comes to skin however many people I know use these products as well and have enjoyed them as much as me. However be sure to make sure that the product is right for you and your skin type and issues.

Neo Strata Oil-Free Cleanser

To wash my face I use the dermatologist recommended Neo Strata Oil-Free Cleanser. This product is ideal for problem areas such as blackheads and dilated pores. It is suggested to work best for combination to oily skin due to the fact that is oil free. This product is also great if you are someone who has sensitive skin like me. It is very gentle and will not irritate your skin. I have seen such a difference in my skin when it comes to my acne and pores. This cleanser is also different from other cleansers because it contains 4% Glycolic Acid which helps dry out pimples and fade dark spots.

Clarisonic Mia

I have been using my Clarisonic Mia for about 2 years now and I cannot even begin to explain how amazing this device is. It has completely changed the texture and nature of my skin. You may think that you got all your makeup off with your makeup wipe but once you wash your face with the Clarisonic you realize that was not the case. The Clarisonic not only cleanses amazingly it also exfoliates your skin. You can use a scrub to enhance the exfoliation that much more. How it works is it has two speeds (delicate and Universal) and you then use the prompts that it gives you to clean your face. 20 seconds on the forehead and the chin and 10 on each cheek. It only takes a minute and your skin feels better than ever. All you have to remember to do is change the brush head every 2-3 months and charge it.

Clinique Exfoliating Scrub

Another key step in my skincare routine is exfoliating my skin. It really helps to unclog my pores and keep my skin feeling smooth. The one that I am currently using is the Clinique exfoliating scrub. It is perfect for combination to oily skin and is a solution to pores, oiliness, acne and blemishes. I use this scrub with my Clarisonic for an even deeper clean about three times a week. What I love the most about this product is that it is very natural because it is made without any parabens, sulphates or phthalates.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer

This product is the one that completely changed the game for me when it came to my skincare routine. I have been using this moisturizer for about 6 months now and have noticed such a difference in the way my skin feels and looks. My skin is so much smoother, brighter and softer. This creme is good for all skin types and has a super 7 complex which is a blend of 7 supercharged ingredients to make your skin more youthful and help with signs of ageing.

 Laniege Water Sleeping Mask

This mask is the last step in my skincare routine and is one that I cannot live without. It was the best of beauty award winner for allure in 2017 so I knew that I had to give it a try and I was not disappointed. This mask is good for all skin types and it works to improve dryness, dullness, uneven texture and fine lines. I put this all over my face, leave it on overnight and wash it off when I get up in the morning. My skin is always so soft, moisturized and glowing the next morning which I love. I also want to add that for the price of this product it works amazingly!
