Hello everyone,
As promised in my healthy routine post here is my healthy granola bar recipe to make at home! This recipe is super simple to make and takes no time at all. These bars never last long in my house as much as I would like to have them to snack on throughout the week. I add protein to them to make them the perfect post workout as well. I have a sweet tooth so having the peanut butter and honey is essential. I love knowing that what is going into these bars are healthy and simple ingredients that I can feel good about eating. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do, let me know how it goes if you do try out the recipe!

Ingredients

- 2 cups of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of almonds, roughly chopped
- 1 scoop of protein powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanila
Steps
- I purchased a granola bar mold since I find it easier however you can also line a baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine the oats, protein powder, almonds, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl and stir
- In a different bowl combine the peanut butter, honey and vanilla
- Mix the dry ingredients in with the wet ingredients and stir till all combined
- Put the mixture into the individual moulds or pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down firmly with a spatula
- Cover your molds or baking dish and place in the freezer for 4 hours
- Use a knife to cut them into your desired size pieces or simply remove them from the molds
- Store them in the freezer or fridge
