90’s TRENDS TO LOOK OUT FOR

Hello everyone,

Trends from the 90s are back in full force for this spring/summer season! I decided that it would be a good idea to create a blog post to round up all the items you should be looking for this season if you want to achieve that 90s look. I love how fun all these trends are and can’t wait to style them in my own outfits during spring and summer.

BABY TEES

One of the 90s trends that I am loving is the baby tee trend. Just pairing a simple tank top with some jeans or shorts in the summer is such a simple but cool vibe. Brandy Melville is my go to spot for tops like these.

BUTTON UP TOPS AND DRESSES

I have been seeing this style of top and dress everywhere in store lately and I love it! In the case of tops I love that you can adjust the buttons how you’d like and create an entirely different look. I think they look so cute with skirts and jeans. I think this style of dress is also a more casual vibe that is so cute paired with sneakers for the summer.

WIDE FRAME SUNGLASSES

This trend may not be for everyone but I think this style is so 90s and adds a cool element to any outfit. Super small glasses that were all the rage a couple of seasons ago are on their way out and we are slowly moving towards bigger framed sunglasses such as these. A lot of high street stores are making their own styles of these sunglasses as well so you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get the trend.

SHOULDER BAGS

This is one of my favourite 90s trends that is making a comeback. It reminds me of all the bags I would see my mom wearing and girls wearing in movies that I always wanted. Try going the vintage route as there is a lot of designer options on sites such as ebay and Poshmark at great prices.

WIDE LEG JEANS

Besides shoulder bags wide leg jeans are another trend that I am really excited for. For the past few months I have seen a lot of more expensive denim brands bringing back this style of pant and spent months looking for a cheaper alternative. I think that these pants styled with a baby tee in the spring and summer will create such a cute outfit that just screams the 90s.

CLAW CLIPS, DEEP SIDE PARTS

On the hair front bring out all 90s movie and show inspo because claw clips, deep side parts and pin straight hair are all making a comeback. I’m so excited for these trends because they are all ways to add a little more interest to your everyday hair style and change it up a bit.

The Rachel

‘The Rachel’ hair style that everyone asked for in the 90s is coming back in a big way. Shorter hair styles with a lot of volume and layers are a trend that a lot of celebrities and influencers are already following. I recently cut my hair shorter and have been loving to play with new ways to style it with this trend in mind.
