Hello everyone!
I thought it would be such a fun idea for my boyfriend, Marcel to do my Aritzia order. Essentially that means he would go onto the Aritizia site and select outfits based on what he thinks I would like or he would like me to wear. I thought it would be a good idea for him to pick a daytime, night time and comfy look to add some variety to the outfits. He had an unlimited budget as well, so he could pick anything he wanted from the site. I gave him my laptop, all the instructions and he went to work.
I sat next to him while he was making his choices and it was so fun to see his thought process. I had a feeling it would go well since he has good style himself and has a good sense of what I like. However keep reading to see his picks and the rating I gave him for each one!
Outfit 1
Outfit 1 was the daytime look. I was so impressed with his first outfit choice, it is very me and my style especially in the summer. He said he pictured me wearing this outfit on a coffee date and I completely agree. The top was chosen because he remembered that one of my blog posts said that puffy sleeves are in, which I thought was cute that he remembered. I also already have that top in red so he was right on track with my style. He even made sure that the brown belt matched with the hat and I was so impressed that all the neutral tones worked together. I also really want to buy those pants now lol.
I give this outfit a 10/10
Outfit 2
Outfit 2 was the nighttime look. I was also very impressed with his choices. I thought the colour of the jumpsuit was really pretty, especially for spring. It is the perfect choice for a date night or for an event. The only bad thing I have to say about this jumpsuit is the ruffle part, as ruffles are never something I go for. He said that even though he knows it isn’t something I would usually pick he thought it would look really pretty on me. The bag was an amazing choice, little did he know that it has been in my cart for almost a year waiting for me to take the plunge.
I would rate this outfit 8/10
Outfit 3
Outfit 3 was the comfy look. He based the sweatpants choice on the fact that I already own this pair in 2 colours and wear them all the time as they are the best sweatpants ever! The purple sweater that he choose is not something I typically go for as I usually stick to more neutral colours such as grey and black. However his plan was to pair the purple sweater with the tie dye socks which I thought was a great idea. This look was something I would and have worn many times, just with more color which is actually a nice and fun change. It’s the perfect stay at home outfit.
I would rate this outfit 10/10
Overall I thought that Marcel did an amazing job, he exceeded my expectations. What I found really fun and nice about this challenge was that he selected some items that I would never think to pick of for myself. Weather the reason be the colour or the style. It was interesting to see the items that he liked and would want me to wear. I was also impressed with the amount he remembered from my blog or just things I wear on the day to day. We are for sure going to do more of these challenges. Leave store recommendations below for us to do next!
