Hello everyone!
As some of you may have heard I have officially opened my virtual styling business- Styled by ALTG. I have called my new venture this, as the idea was inspired by these ‘Styled by ALTG’ posts, where I put together outfits for my friends, family and other readers. After doing these posts I learned that a lot of people find searching for the right pieces and styling them overwhelming and challenging. This alone combined with the positive feedback and requests from you guys to do more styling I thought I would release Styled by ALTG as its own business. In doing so I can style more of you for any event or occasion you might need. Much like a real stylist and this series I will select pieces based on your personal style, event and budget. This will all be done virtually through email, instagram and even video chat. All information about Styled by ALTG will be linked here if you want to know more!
Even though I have now launched my virtual styling business I will continue to do these styling posts here and there. Today I am styling my friend Olivia who’s style can be described as simple but also fun and girly. I was so excited to style Olivia as I felt I could really get creative and put together outfits I thought she would really love. She asked me put together a study day, workout, brunch and night out look for her. Keep reading to see what Olivia thought of each outfit and the rating she gave for each one!
STUDY DAY LOOK
The first look that I put together for Olivia was an outfit for a day of studying at school. Olivia is a student at Queens University therefore being comfortable for long hours at the library is essential. I wanted to make this look both functional and cute at the same time. These black sweatpants are a twist on your classic sweatpant with the ruched waistband. I thought this jacket was so cool and would go in line with Olivia’s style perfectly and could also be worn for so many other occasions. I added these Reebok shoes that have a cool 90’s vibe to them to play off the green of the jacket. Lastly, a bag is a must and I selected this one for Olivia because its large enough to carry all of her books but the graphic adds an extra element.

Olivia’s Comments: Definitely need to get these shoes!! I would love to wear this to study all day at the library.
WORKOUT LOOK
The next look that I put together for Olivia was a workout outfit! I know that Olivia loves to workout so I wanted to select pieces that again are both functional for any type of workout but are also cute. An all black workout outfit is so cool and the pop of colour from the shoes is an unexpected fun touch that I thought she would love. These shorts are a new release from Nike and I thought the details of the shorts complimented the graphic tee perfectly.

Olivia’s Comments: I would for sure wear this to the gym for a workout!! Love the all black to stay looking slim.
BRUNCH LOOK
The next look that I put together for Olivia was a brunch look. As I said before Olivia’s style is simple but with added fun and girly elements, therefore I knew I wanted to make this outfit both summery but with cool additions. I started with this beautiful red ruffle skirt from Abercrombie and then added this ruched top that is a twist on a basic white tee. It’s the perfect option if you love basics but want a little change. I thought Olivia would love this bag so I added it as the perfect accessory. Instead of heels or sandals I paired the look with some white converse to edge it up a bit. This has to be one of my favourite looks that I put together for her.

Olivia’s Comments: I really love this outfit and I definitely need to purchase all these cute items!!! Especially the white top and bag!
NIGHT OUT LOOK
Last but not least I put together a night out look for Olivia. I found this off the shoulder top from Garage that I thought was so fun for a night out and built the whole look around it. This sage green colour is so in for this season. I paired it with a staple pair of black jeans with some rips to add an extra element of detail. I took a chance with the shoes on this look as I didn’t know if she would like the print but I think they are an understated way of elevating an outfit and making it look very thought out. They are also the perfect height for a night of dancing! Overall this is such a fun look and I hope she would love it.

Olivia’s Comment: Omg! Love this going out outfit and would for sure wear this!!! I don’t have these items in my closet right now but I definitely need to go buy them! I adore the one shoulder shirt and I think the black jeans are essential.
