Hello everyone,
Today I bring to you another ‘Styled by ALTG’ post. As I have launched my Styled by ALTG styling business I decided to take a break from doing these posts bi-weekly, and instead post one here and there. I am so excited to be bringing you another one today, this time I am styling my boyfriend Marcel. I have never done a men’s fashion post but I thought why not try it out as Styled by ALTG is a styling service for both men and women. When I brought up the idea to Marcel to style him he was super excited and couldn’t wait to see what I came up with for him. His style can be described as smart causal mixed with sporty. When I asked him what he wanted me to put together for him he requested a club look, a date night look, an everyday look, a fancy night out look and lastly a training/workout look. Marcel has great style and an eye for fashion when it comes to his outfits. Therefore this was a true test to see how much I know him and his style, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. Keep reading to see what I put together for Marcel and what he thought of each look!
CLUB LOOK
The first look that I put together for Marcel was a club look, for when they eventually open of course. My idea was for the look to be monochromatic. I found this stripped shirt first and thought it was a elevated take on a classic polo. To go with the shirt I paired some black dress pants. You always need A Little Touch of Gold so I added this super cool watch by Armani to elevate the look and add a pop. You can never go wrong with some white sneakers, they can be worn time and time again and they balance this look out and compliment the stripes on the shirt. Yes white sneakers may not be practical for a club so he can always opt for some black boots or sneakers instead. Overall I think this is such a cool but classy club look that he would look great in.

Marcel’s Comments: I really like this look. It’s simple and stylish. Where this outfit is placed on question is white shoes in a club … takes courage.
DATE NIGHT LOOK
For the date night outfit I put together a look based on what I have seen him wear in the past but elevated it and made it fall appropriate. I started with a classic pair of black denim since they are a little more dressy then a light wash denim but still not a dress pant. I then found this Zara cream sweater that I thought he would love and would look great on him. He does not currently have a pair of chelsea boots in his wardrobe. Since they are such a great staple to have, to dress up or down I thought I would find him the perfect pair and add them to this look. These ones are the perfect height and shade of brown. Lastly, I accessorized with a nice leather strap watch as it completes the look and dresses it up more.

Marcel’s Comments: This look has my favourite pieces of this styling. That sweater is just looking fire. Classy look that is ready to impress in my opinion.
EVERYDAY LOOK
This look is a very ‘Marcel’ look to me and something that I knew for sure he would love. It is the perfect mix between his sporty and smart casual style. I started with this super cool sweater from Nike. This colour is so in for this season and the style of is so unique. Under it he could wear this white t-shirt that would peak out at the bottom, adding some layers and therefore interest to the look. You can never go wrong with some white sneakers. These ones are just a simple white sneaker that can be worn with so many different outfits. Lastly, I added the hat to play on the sage green of the sweater. Overall I think this a super cool everyday look and something he would totally wear!

Marcel’s Comments: Looks like a very comfortable look. I would definitely where this outfit to go out, run errands or whatever I needed to take on day to day.
FANCY NIGHT OUT LOOK
This look was probably the most challenging one to put together. I didn’t know there were so many cuts, colours, and patterns of suits out there which made it a little overwhelming. Plus I really wanted to be sure that it was true to him and was something he would like. After what seemed like hours of searching I finally decided on this dark grey suit. I thought the colour would look great on him and is a bit different from the classic black and blue I see people go for. Under it I paired a crisp white button down. He loves bow ties so I selected this champagne one as I thought it made the look very classic. To accessorize I paired it with this gold watch for a pop. Slip on some back dress shoes and he is ready for a fancy outing.

Marcel’s Comments: Great look. It took me a few minutes to see the style here but after contemplation I love it. Originally I wouldn’t have picked these colours but after thought I want to tap my credit card.
TRAINING LOOK
Training is a big part of Marcel’s life so having a nice activewear look is key. I started with this super cool white Adidas windbreaker that I thought he could wear as it gets a little colder. It would look super sleek and cool on paired with the rest of the look and could also be worn with some jeans for everyday. To go with it I added just a simple grey t-shirt and black shorts that are perfect for working out. I remember him talking about these Nike shoes a few months back so I knew I wanted to include them. This colour way was perfect as it brought together all of the colours of the look; black, grey and white. Overall I think this is a super cool and sleek training outfit!

Marcel’s Comments: Well for starters anything to do with training is the best. Comfortable, breathable and looking like you are an absolute machine. My favourite part of this outfit is the shoes. Those kicks would make me fee like Matt Fraser. Love it.
