FITNESS UPDATE: MY TESOLIN TRAINING PROGRAM

As some of you may know I have recently completed my Tesolin Training at home workout program! I have been documenting my journey on Instagram for the past 8 weeks, giving insights on everything from workouts to food. Let’s start at the beginning…

At the start of the year I did a Tesolin Training personalized gym program and the results were outstanding. I had been weight training for a year with very little results to show for it. I was in search of a program that was going to be effective and allow me to achieve the goals I set out for myself. I sat down with Tesolin Training and outlined all of my goals, the type of workouts I was interested in and schedule. A personalized program was created for me and soon after starting the program I made more progress the ever before. I got stronger, improved my cardio and advanced my overall fitness level. After completing my first 8 week gym program I was ready to start another but a little friend named COVID hit and of course halted that plan. While at home I started to random workouts that I found on Youtube. At first I thought that what I was doing was effective but then quickly came to realize that I wasn’t making the progress that I wanted. The truth is that I don’t know what I am doing on my own. My 8 week personalized gym program taught me that working out is truly a science. It really makes a big difference to put the right exercises together, have the appropriate amount of rest time and change up the type of workout you’re doing.

Therefore I knew it was time for another personalized Tesolin Training program but this time for my at home workouts.

After speaking with Tesolin Training, another program was created that was completely personalized to my goals, my available equipment, my fitness level and my schedule. My goals for this program were to gain muscle, get leaner and improve my cardio even more to be able to run a 10km. My equipment included a pair of 10 pound dumbbells, resistance bands and a physioball. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to make any significant fitness gains due to this but I was ensured that anything is possible if you just get creative with what you have. I wanted to workout 6 days a week, with one full rest day. With this information Tesolin Training put together the perfect plan for me consisting of 2 cross-fit days, 3 full body days and 1 running day. I began my program on the first week of July and completed it on the last week of August!

WEEK 1

I was feeling motivated and ready to get started! Based on the results of my last 8 week plan that I completed in March I was excited to see what the next couple months would bring. This week consisted of me getting comfortable with the exercises and making sure my form was correct.

WEEK 3

This was when I really started to see the results of my program. Going on week three I was feeling stronger and seeing muscle tone especially in my arms and abs which are 2 of the places I find hardest to workout. I was continuing to eat a well balanced diet to coincide with my workouts. I was slowly increasing my running distance in order to reach my 10km goal in week 5!

WEEK 4

This was the half way point. I was fatigued but still very motivated due to all the results I was seeing. This was a recovery week in terms of the number of reps and time for each workout. However it was still challenging my body while at the same time getting me ready to up the reps and intensity for the next 4 weeks of the program.

WEEK 5

Week 5 was a big week for me because I reached my goal of running a 10km. From building my endurance back in January I was able to complete it and even get the fastest speed for a stretch of distance. I was also continuing to see major definition in my muscle tone and getting leaner. My crossfit workouts were also getting more and more difficult and I was seeing how much more fit I was getting when it came to the speed at which I was doing the exercises and the limited recovery time needed between each set. I felt strong, healthy and accomplished

WEEK 8

During the last week of my plan I took the time to look back at the first progress photo I took in-comparison to my last and I was blown away. Before starting my program I felt sluggish and unmotivated when it came to my workouts. I lost definition and strength from a couple months of not being in the gym and working out with no guidence or direction. As I stated before I was worried about not being able to accomplish much with my limited equipment but was really proven wrong. I accomplished all my goals of gaining muscle tone, getting leaner and completing two 10km runs!

Overall when doing a Tesolin Training program I feel confident that I am going to achieve results and have fun in the process.
