I SHOPPED IN THE ZARA KIDS SECTION…HIT OR MISS?

Hello everyone,

You all know how much I love Zara! I am always shopping in the new in section trying to find the latest and greatest pieces. This week I decided to do a little experiment where I shopped in the Zara kids section. I decided to shop in the kids section for a couple reasons, the first one being that the kids section always has such cute clothes that I always find myself wishing they made in adult sizes. In addition I wanted to see if the biggest size they carried in kids clothing would event fit me. Lastly, I thought if this little experiment works it would mean saving so much money as kids pieces are so much cheaper. After searching through the kids section I found 7 items and I only paid $177. I want to add that none of these pieces are basics, they are knits, jackets, linens and items with a lot of detail. If you shop on Zara you know that getting 7 pieces like the ones I bought in the adult section would never happen, I could maybe get 3 if i’m lucky. Keep reading to see if this Zara experiment of shopping in the kids section was a hit or a miss.

I have posted a full IGTV on my instagram @alittletouchofgold if you want to see all of the pieces in action. All in all I think shopping in the Zara kids section was a hit! For reference I am 5’5 and got everything in a size 13-14 years. All of the tops fit me nicely, with the sweater vest even being a bit big which I was not expecting at all. The shacket was such nice quality for only $40 and would be a great layering piece for the spring and even the fall season. The only item that was a miss was the cut out shirt dress. I was a little too tall for the piece so it sat right under my boobs rather then at my waist line like it was supposed to. If you are a little more petite, like 5’0, 5’2 I think the dress would work perfectly on you. Overall I totally recommend giving shopping in the Zara kids section a try. Order a couple pieces in the size you feel would fit you best and see of they work out, if they do it means you can get high quality and on trend pieces for a fraction of the cost.

I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed putting it together. If you want me to do more experiments like this let me know in the comments!
