INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Melt 1 tbsp butter and brush it evenly on all sides and bottom of your 9.5” pan (a pan typically used for cheesecake)
  3. Coat the pan with flour and tap off any excess. You want all sides covered with a nice coat of flour to prevent the tort from sticking and to create a flakey outside.
  4. Use a mixer to cream your butter and sugar until fully combined.
  5. Add in your eggs one at a time until evenly blended.
  6. Add in your milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Mix until fully combined.
  7. Slowly add in your flour and mix it until you have a creamy, smooth and thick batter.
  8. Pour your batter into the coated cake pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out smooth.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  11. Unclip the sides of the pan to reveal your gorgeous cake. Let it stand for another 20-30 minutes or until cool.
  12. Add confectioners sugar on the top when your read to serve.
  13. Eat and enjoy!
