Hello everyone,
Happy 2023! When a new year arrives I come up with a list of goals or manifestations for the year. I found starring at my long list led me to feeling overwhelmed, and like I had to rush to get everything done in order to be “successful”. Prior to this year there was no concept of breaking my goals down into manageable chunks in order to visualize how to make them all happen.
For each month of the year I’ve selected a goal from my list to tackle and achieve. I posted a whole TikTok on this which you can watch HERE. Follow me while you’re there as well, I post daily fashion and lifestyle content.
JANUARY: SET A ROUTINE
After the Christmas season and set of days afterwards I feel like all routine and reason goes out the window. Unhealthy eating habits, poor sleep schedules and lack of movement always leads me to feeling sluggish. Seasonal depression is definitely a thing for me, therefore when January roles around, instead of feeling motivated to get back at it I am engulfed by gloomy days and exhaustion. In sticking with my manageable goals I decided to kick this idea in the butt. I am slowly working myself up to a new routine. My sleep schedule is back to normal and I am structuring my days by properly time blocking. I am getting so much more done and finally have some energy back!
FEBRUARY: PLAN A GETAWAY WITH FRIENDS
I have always wanted to rent a cabin with friends and I am manifesting that this will be the year. I feel like it’s so important to change your surroundings often, surround yourself with people you love and gain a new look on life. I always come back from a trip feeling refreshed and inspired.
MARCH: TAKE A REFORMER PILATES CLASS
One of my overarching goals this year is to try new things and learn new skills. I have assigned “taking a reformer Pilates class” as my March goal to encourage myself to make it happen. I already love Pilates, therefore this seems like the necessary and natural next step. Maybe I will fall in love and it will be my new favourite form of exercise!
APRIL: TAKE A POTTERY MAKING CLASS
Sticking with the same theme of trying something new, my goal for April is to take a pottery making class. I am a very creative person who loves to get crafty and make something from scratch. I have wanted to try making pottery for as long as I can remember.
MAY: TRAVEL SOMEWHERE NEW
Me and my friends have been trying to plan a trip for ages and my goal is to make it happen in May. There is so much world to see, therefore I would love to explore somewhere I’ve never been before. Wherever my heart takes me is where I’m meant to be.
JUNE: GO TO A SPA
June is my birthday month, therefore it seems only fitting to make it my goal to treat myself. I have actually never been to a spa, therefore I really want to make it happen this year. Bath robes, massages, facials…sounds great to me!
JULY: TRY A NEW RECIPE EVERY WEEK
Another one of my goals this year is to get better at cooking and learn new recipes. Although this is something I want to work at throughout the year I am setting an intention to make a new recipe every week in July. The summer means so many fresh ingredients so I thought what better time to achieve this goal. If you have any recipe recommendations leave them in the comments!
AUGUST: GO ON A WINERY BIKE TOUR
If you know me, you know I love wine. I have been to many wineries but I have never done a wine bike tour. I have always wanted to experience a day in wine country with friends and/or family tasting different wines and enjoying the beautiful summer weather.
SEPTEMBER: GO TO A CONCERT
I already have a couple concerts booked in the month of September. As its the last month of summer it’s my goal to end it with a bang and I have a feeling these concerts will do just the trick
OCTOBER: HOST A DINNER PARTY
As soon as fall rolls around I love to get cozy and gather with friends and family. It’s my goal to host a dinner party this month in order to get eveyone I love together.
NOVEMBER: TRY A COOKING CLASS OF A NEW CUISINE
Sticking with my goal of learning to cook better and trying new recipes, I would love to take a cooking class. I am typically good at cooking Italian dishes since it’s my background but I would love to learn new cuisines. Maybe French cuisine.
DECEMBER: CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK
As a Christmas lover this has been on my bucket list for years. After visiting New York for the first time last May, I am more motivated then ever to make it happen. New York has such a nostalgic, and iconic Christmas feel from all the movies and tv shows you watch every year. I want to experience this in person and really let my love for the season grow even more.
After organizing my goals like this I already feel more accomplished and motivated to take on 2023. I am less overwhelmed and stressed and love the idea of everything being mapped out. So far my January goal is going well, let’s hope I can continue this throughout the year. I will be updating you guys monthly on my blog as well as on my TikTok on how my goals are going.
