Hello everyone,
It is officially the fall season and I don’t know about you but I am pretty happy about it. I have decided to dedicate this weekend to properly prepare myself for the fall. As well come up with some ideas for my fall bucket list for this year. Fall is the the prettiest time a year in my opinion. With all of the leaves change colour and the refreshing crisp air, what’s not to love. It is the time to bust out your fall themed decorations and cozy up to a book or movie with a fall scented candle burning in the background. I decided to write this blog post to give you all some ideas and tips on how to prepare for fall, from decorations to activities to do with your friends and family. Happy fall everyone!
Organize
Switch Out Your Closet
With the changing season means colder weather and therefore warmer clothes. Dedicate a day out of your week to switch over all of your summer clothes to your fall ones. You will be happy that you have everything organized and will also be able to clear out old items for new ones to take there place. It will justify your reason to shop, am I right ladies;)
Here are some tips that I have for making cleaning out your closet less of a chore:
- Take out everything at once (if you do this then you will procrastinate less cause you know you have to get it all done)
- Look at each item and remember how many times you have worn it. If is less then two I think it is best to give it away to a local charity or give it to a friend.
- Get identical hangers (this will make everything look more neat and tidy)
- Colour code your clothes. This is easier then you think, just put everything of the same colour together. It will make getting ready everyday way easier.

Set the mood
Decorations
Switch out your brightly coloured pillows for some fall themed or darker coloured ones. Take out all of your blankets that have been locked away all summer and place them around your space to it an instantly cozy look. As well take out all of your fall decorations that have been in hibernation since last year. Put some foliage of leaves on your banisters and place ceramic pumpkins on your tables. Your space will instantly be ready for fall.

Scents
Fall is the best time for scents in my opinion. The aroma of cinnamon, apples and pumpkin fill the air. Go to a store like bath and body works and pick up your favourite fall candles and body products. When you light your candle you will be instantly relaxed and put into the fall mood. It will even make you space feel way more cozy.

Activities
Apple and Pumpkin Picking
Going apple and pumpkin picking has been a tradition in my family for many years. We would go out in the morning and take a drive through the country side to see all the pretty leaves. Then we would take a carriage ride to the orchards to pick out apples and pumpkins. When we got home we would all make apple pie as a family together. Doing simple things like this will be memories that will last forever and results in a very yummy treat.
Haunted House
Going to a haunted house around Halloween is such a fun thing do with friends during the fall. I promise that you will have such fun time going through the mazes and getting scared by all of the creatures crawling around. They are usually only open for a month so take advantage of it while you can.

Photoshoots
With all of the beautiful leaves changing colour, it is the prefect opportunity to have a photoshoot with all of your friends. Be creative! Use the nature around you to take Tumblr worthy pictures that are all but boring. Nature is one of the worlds best backdrops, so find a place near you and have fun while laughing and taking pictures You will make memories that will last forever.
