THE BEST NUTELLA COOKIE RECIPE

Hello everyone!

I am here today with another recipe post for you all! I don’t know about everyone else but this quarantine has be baking more then ever before. I am constantly looking for new things to create, therefore I thought I would share more of my favourites with you all. I have been making these Nutella cookies for quite some time now and I have finally perfected the recipe. Whenever I make them, they never last more then a day. This recipe makes 16 cookies however feel free to double or triple it if you want to make a bigger batch!

Some important tips to remember when making these cookies is first that you don’t want to be shy when it comes to the Nutella. The reason being is that if you do not put enough your cookie will end up less moist then you want it. Put about a heaping teaspoon worth of Nutella for each cookie on your lined tray (picture below for reference). Another is not to over mix your batter! Over mixing your batter will result in a tougher cookie and no one wants that. Lastly the longer you bake your cookie the less gooey it will be on the inside, therefore it is all based on your personal preference. I personally like a very gooey inside so I stick to a bake time of 11 minutes.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Freeze 16 individual heaped tablespoons of Nutella onto a lined tray. Freeze for 60 minutes or overnight.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. In a blender mix together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Then add the vanilla and egg and mix again until smooth.
  4. Whisk together your flour, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Add it to your other mix and blend until smooth (make sure not to over-mix!)
  6. Now to form your cookie, scoop out some cookie dough and flatten the dough slightly, then add a frozen chunk of Nutella to the middle of each one. Make sure the cookie fully surrounds the Nutella!
  7. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper and then place your cookies on the tray. You want to ensure that they are spread out as they expand a bit.
  8. Bake for 11-13 minutes.
  9. Let them cool on a cooling rack before eating!
