Hello everyone,
Today’s post is a day in my life, quarantine edition. Now that school is over I have been trying to get into a routine and fill my day with different activities. This is a typical day in my life while in quarantine. I hope to do more of these in the future for you to all get to know me a little more!
8:30-Wakeup and make bed

I try to get up at 8:30 everyday in order to give myself time to have a relaxing morning and not feel like I am wasting my day sleeping, which is super easy to do. I will usually lay in bed for about 10 minutes or so and scroll through social media. Since quarantine has began I have formed a new habit of making my bed right when I wake up. It really sets up my mood for the day and makes me feel motivated and accomplished right from the start.
9:00-Breakfast and Instagram post

At around 9:00 I make my breakfast which is a green smoothie and scrambled eggs. During this time I relax and eat my breakfast, as well as work on my instagram post for the day. Follow me on @alittletouchofgold if you want to see more! I will also just scroll through my instagram and get up to date with what is going on. I love taking my time in the morning.
10:00-WORKOUT
At 10:00 is when is when I workout for the day. Getting used to working out at home was a challenge at first but I have really been enjoying various HITT and bodyweight workouts from Heather Robertson and Whitney Simmons. I will link some of my favourite ones below. I will usually do 30 minutes of HITT cardio then move to strength training which is different each day. Some days I will focus on legs, other days arms and full body. My workouts typically last an hour. I play some music and have fun strengthening my body and keeping it healthy during this time.

11:15-Get ready for the day

After my workout I shower and get ready for the day. As hard as it is somedays I feel so much better when I get ready and put on an outfit. Plus most days I am shooting photos for my blog, and this happened to be one of those days. I put on some makeup, and do my hair. These are some of my go-to everyday products lately.
11:45-Do a little touch of gold work

During this part of the morning I will shoot and edit photos, work on blog posts and plan content for the rest of the week. This is the time of the day that I really dedicate to my blog and it’s one of my favourite parts. I will also do admin stuff such as responding to emails.
1:30-Lunch time

After working for a while I will break for some lunch. Pictured below is one of my favourite meals at the moment. Its simply rice, roasted corn and shrimp. It is so healthy, yet so filling. It takes me no time to make and is delicious. If you all want me to do a post about more of my favourite recipes and what I eat in a day let me know!
2:00-Back to work
Depending on how much work I need to get done that day I will work after lunch. This time usually includes more shooting and blog post writing. I will usually do this in my room with some music playing, and a candle burning creating a relaxing and focused environment.
3:00-Coffee and Chill time
Coffee is key around this time as it’s when I hit my mid-afternoon slump. I use this hour to chill, watch youtube videos, faceTime someone and maybe even read. Reading is something I am really trying to get back into and would love any of your recommendations.
4:00-Workout again

At around 4:00 I will do my second workout of the day, which is my boyfriend Marcel’s live workouts on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays each week. They start at 4:00pm, and are now moving to 6:00 and are about 30-40 minutes long. Having extra time in the day means its the perfect opportunity to devote even more time to my physical health and these workouts are the perfect addition to my workout routine. They are full on workouts so yes I am dead by the end but since they happen 3 times a week they are the perfect addition to my workout routine! Tuesday is bodyweight, Thursday is kettlebells and Saturday is core and mobility which is the perfect way to end off a week of hard work. You can check it out on his instagram @tesolintraining !! 5:00-Shower and Netflix
After my workout I will shower and then sit in front of the Tv and watch some netflix of course. I am currently watching Schitts Creek which is hilarious.
6:00-Dinner and a walk
At around 6:00 my family and I have dinner together, after which I will go for a walk to get some fresh air for the day which is much needed. Of course this doesn’t happen when its super cold or rainy but when I get the opportunity I take advantage.
8:00-Movie, snack and crochet time
At around 8:00 I will lie down and watch a movie, some of my favourites right now have been “Crazy, Stupid Love” and “MamaMia 2”. I will also work on the crocket blanket I am making which is a knew hobby I picked up and a pastime that I have really enjoyed doing surprisingly enough. At around 9:00 I get hungry and will make a snack which is usually popcorn or my personal favourite apples and peanut butter. The key is melting the penury butter for a few seconds, trust me everyone.
10:30- Nighttime Routine

At 10:30 I will go upstairs and start my nighttime routine which includes my skincare. Some nights I will put on a face-mask as well. I get into bed, put on my diffuser and relax. I will usually scroll through instagram, watch youtube and facetime during this time as well.
12:30- Bedtime
At 12:30 I will set my alarm and close the light to go to bed!
