STYLED BY ALTG: MY FRIEND FABI

Hello everyone!

Today I bring to you the second post of my ‘Styled by ATLG’ series. I will be styling my best friend Fabiana. After asking what outfits she wanted me to style she said, brunch, concert, shopping day, and a comfy quarantine look. Fabi’s style can be described as feminine but with edgy elements to make it her own. I had so much fun putting these looks together as we like a lot of the same things. I couldn’t wait to see what her reaction would be to all of the looks. I hope you are all enjoying this series as much as I am. Keep reading to see the outfits I put together for Fabi  and the ratings she gave for each one.

BRUNCH LOOK

Collage created using TurboCollage software from www.TurboCollage.com

The first outfit I put together for Fabi was a brunch look. Brunch is me and Fabi’s thing, we are constantly looking for new places to try and visit. We always dress up and treat it as a true outing. With this in mind I made her brunch outfit feminine but added a Fabi touch with the sneakers to edge it up a bit. I thought the dress was so gorgous and the perfect thing to wear for her to wear for a Sunday brunch downtown.

Fabi’s Rating: 8/10

Fabi’s comments: I absolutely love sundresses, and I’ve also been loving puffy sleeves lately! I don’t know if yellow is the colour I’d usually gravitate to, but it’s cute nonetheless. I love the dress + sneakers look, and I would definitely pair my AF1’s for a cute/casual brunch. Huge fan of the scrunchie, I wear one nearly everyday (I don’t think I can ever go back to regular hair ties honestly), and I think it goes great with the look. As for the bag, I like the style but I’m not a huge fan of the white leather so I think I would just get it in a different colour. Can’t wait to actually attend Sunday brunch this summer once this is all over!

SHOPPING DAY LOOK

Collage created using TurboCollage software from www.TurboCollage.com

Levi’s and cute graphic totes are Fabi’s signature therefore I knew I needed to include them both in this shopping day look. These button up sweaters are such a trend for this spring season as well. I think the tote adds a cool vibe to the entire outfit, adding interest. The yellow mules are also such a fun touch and the perfect height for a long shopping day.

Fabi’s Rating: 9/10

Fabi’s comments: I absolutely love this one! I’m definitely due for a shopping day sometime soon, and this seems like an outfit I’d pick. Lately I’ve really been gravitating towards the jeans and cardigan look, it just looks so stylish with such little effort. I love the little mules you picked, I’ve been meaning to get some for myself for a while now because of the way you style them! I really like the little pop of colour they give, it just makes the outfit a little more exciting and perfect for the warmer weather. I like the tote bag, especially for summer, although I’d probably pick something without a phrase on it. Overall, a great outfit that I’ll definitely be trying out.

CONCERT LOOK

Collage created using TurboCollage software from www.TurboCollage.com

Fabi goes to so many concerts that it was only fitting to put together the perfect concert look! I had so much fun putting this one together because concert looks really allow you to be creative. I thought this checkered dress was so Fabi and is so much more fun then just a classic little black dress. I also had to include the blue pins as I always see her with them in her hair and immediately thought of her when I saw them. Sneakers and a crossbody are essential for a concert to be hands free and be able to dance around for hours.

Fabi’s rating: 9/10

Fabi’s comments: Okay so as unfortunate as it may be, I doubt I’ll actually be able to attend a concert until next year, but I love this ensemble! The little gingham dress is such a classic, and the fit is so flattering that I’m sure I’d love to grab a couple of pics for instagram in it. Again, I think the AF1s would go great with it, especially if I’m going to be walking around, standing up for a long time, or jumping and down for hours I’d definitely want to make sure the shoes I’m in are comfortable. I think the black cropped jacket is a great addition, it’s light enough for a summer night and the fit would look flattering with the dress underneath. The bag you picked out is so cute and super convenient for a night where I really wouldn’t want my hands occupied or for anything to feel too heavy as I carry it. I really need to pick up something like that soon! As for the barrettes, I think they would make a super cute accessory to tie the outfit together. My friend Kaitlin got me a little set for Christmas and I’ve been obsessed ever since, so I can’t wait to expand my collection!

COMFY QUARANTINE LOOK

Collage created using TurboCollage software from www.TurboCollage.com

The last look I created for Fabi was of course a comfy quarantine look. Another staple item in Fabi’s wardrobe is graphic tees, therefore I knew I had to include them in this outfit. This Gun’s and Roses one is so cute and the oversized fit makes it super comfy for lounging around at home. I included the denim jacket incase she wanted to put in on to go for a walk or just to add something extra, even if it is just at home.

Fabi’s rating: 10/10

Fabi’s comments: I’m not surprised but you nailed it with this one! I literally live in varieties of this outfit when I want to feel comfy for a long day on campus or more recently, days of doing literally nothing in quarantine. I think everyone needs a go to pair of lulu leggings and an oversized jean jacket, they just make life so much easier, they go with anything. I recently realized that most of my crew socks now have holes in them, so I’ll need to order some more soon. And finally, the oversized band tee. As you and many others know, I live in them. I will never have enough. Ever. If there’s anything I really miss about spending time downtown, it’s thrift shopping. Urban Outfitters always has some good options, but nothing compares to finding the perfect vintage tee for like $10.
