THE BEST APPLE CINNAMON BREAD RECIPE

Hello everyone,

I don’t know what it is about fall but it always gets me in the mood to bake and try new recipes. I went apple picking this past weekend which is such a fun activity. I had so many apples so I thought why not put them to use. I wanted to make something new and different as I already made apple pie early this week, which I do have a recipe for here on my blog, Apple Pie Recipe if you wanted to check it out. Apple Cinnamon Bread was what I decided on and it couldn’t have turned out better. The bread is so moist and the pieces of apple within are such a treat. This recipe, although being 3 parts, is super easy to make and doesn’t take too much time at all. INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

FOR THE BATTER

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F and butter a 9×5 inch loaf pan

2.In a medium sized bowl combine your flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon together. Set aside.

3. In a bowl of a stand mixer with a paddle attachment (or a hand mixer) cream your butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. About 2-3 minutes.

4. Beat in eggs one at a time until fully combined. Add in the vanilla and mix until incorporated.

5.With your mixer running on low add in half of your dry ingredient mixture, then add half of the milk until combined. Repeat and add the second half of your dry ingredient mixture and the other half of milk until combined. Be sure not to over-mix as it will take away the fluffiness of the bread!

FOR THE APPLE MIX

  1. In a bowl combined your chopped apple (I recommend cutting them into small cubed pieces), brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

2. Mix with a spoon or with your hands until all apples are covered with the mixture.

3. Poor half of your batter into your 9×5 inch loaf pan, then top with half of the apple mixture. Follow with the remaining half of your batter and finally top with the second half of your apple mixture.

FOR THE CINNAMON SUGAR TOPPING

  1. Combine your sugar and cinnamon into a small bowl.

2. Sprinkle on top of your batter and swirl it around with a knife.

3. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

4. Remove bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack to cool completely.

5. Eat and enjoy!

  1. When someone asks “Is it as good as it looks?”, I can definitely say an absolute yes. The only problem I had with this Apple Cinnamon Bread is keeping myself from eating the whole loaf in one sitting. Very tasty Laura!!
