CINNAMON SUGAR TIMBIT RECIPE

Hello everyone,

I posted these Cinnamon Sugar Timbits on my instagram story asking if you guys wanted the recipe and the overwhelming response was of course yes. These are hands down one of the best things I have ever made, I might even say top 3 right behind my Nutella Cookie Recipe which I will link here if you want to try that out as well. These taste exactly like a timbit, so if you like Timbits as much as I do these are definitely for you. The cinnamon sugar coating on the outside is devine, and makes you want to have another. This recipe makes about 18-20 Timbits depending how big you make them, and in just one day there is only 2 left if that is any indication of how good they are. I also highly recommend melting some chocolate to Nutella to dip them into. This is no doubt a recipe that you need to try out if you are looking for a new sweet treat. If you do make them I would love to see how they turn out. Send me a message to my instagram @alittletouchofgold and follow me to see more recipes, fashion and lifestyle content!

Happy baking!

INGREDIENTS

For the Timbits

FOR THE CINNAMON SUGAR COATING

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Butter or grease your mini muffin tin. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl mix together your flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl beat the egg. Add in your milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Mix until combined.
  4. In a mixing bowl add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients. Mix until just moistened, being careful not to over mix. You can use a mixer to do this or do it by hand.
  5. Spoon batter into your mini muffin tin all the way full. Wet your finger to pat down the batter until it is compact into each muffin tin.
  6. Bake in your oven for 10-12 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Transfer your Timbit’s to a cooling rack and let them cool for 5 minutes before adding the topping.
  7. For the topping you will need two small bowls. In one bowl mix together your cinnamon and sugar. In the other bowl melt your butter.
  8. Dip your Timbit into the butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Eat and enjoy!
