Hello everyone!
In honour of the first day of fall I am bringing to you a new fall recipe that will start the new season off right. Happy baking!

INGREDIENTS
For the popovers
-6 tablespoons salted butter
-1 1/2 cups whole milk
-3 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1 1/2 cups flour
-4 ounces of cream cheese (half a block) cut into 12 cubes
-1 teaspoon salt
For the Brown Butter Topping
-1/4 cup butter
-1/2 cup sugar
-1 tablespoon cinnamon

DIRECTIONS
For the popovers
1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Butter your 12 cup muffin plan.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk and eggs until frothy, this should take about a minute. Then add 1 tablespoon melted butter, the vanilla, flour and salt. Mix until combined.
3. Evenly divide your batter in your muffin tins and push 1 cube of cream cheese into the centre of each popover.
4. Put in the oven to bake for 15-18 minutes
5. Once out of the oven place them on a cooling rack.
For the brown butter
1. Heat your butter until melted
2. You have two options here
a. You can either mix the sugar and cinnamon into the butter and pour over your popovers
b. Brush the butter onto your popovers and roll them in your cinnamon sugar
(I went with option a because I wanted to make them less messy to eat but either are delicious!)
Eat and enjoy! If you do try out this recipe send me a picture and let me know how they turned out. They are the perfect fall treat!🍂

One response to “CINNAMON SUGAR BROWN BUTTER POPOVERS”
These were definitely delicious, especially right out of the oven. Another recipe to add to the collection Laura.
