Hello everyone!
I asked you all on Instagram the other day if you wanted the recipe to these super cute and yummy heart-shaped brownies and to no surprise, almost all of you said yes. I don’t blame you, they look delicious and anything in the shape of a heart is bound to taste even better. This recipe is super easy to make and is the perfect sweet treat to have in your back pocket if you ever need a quick and pretty dessert to serve to guests. Happy baking!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup vegtable oil
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cornstartch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

DIRECTIONS
- Preheat your oven to 325°F and generously butter an 8×8-inch pan
- In a mixing bowl, mix butter and sugar until smooth. Then add in your eggs, egg yolk and vanilla.
- Add in your vegetable oil and cocoa powder until combined
- In a separate bowl combine your flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt
- Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients until smooth
- With a spatula, stir in your chocolate chips, peanut butter chocolate chips (optional) and walnuts (optional)
- Pour and spread your brownie batter evenly into your prepared pan
- Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out the center with moist crumbs attached. Do not overcook or the brownies will come out hard.
- Cool for 10 minutes before cutting the pan into 4 even squares. Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter, press down into the brownie to form it into hearts.
- Repeat for the rest of the squares, getting as many brownies as you can out of it (depending on the size of your cookie cutter)
- Eat and enjoy!
